Oceania Zonal 2009
The 2009 Oceania Zonal Chess Championhips were held at the Twin Towers Resort on Gold Coast, Australia from the 20-26 June. The event was a World Championships qualifier and thus the field for the championships was the largest in the region and expected to be a challenge for our local qualifiers. More
7th Rajnesh Parmeshwar Memorial Open
The seventh edition of this memorial event saw the top guns of Fiji Chess slug it out in a five round swiss championship. With several amazing matches the final result was inevitable and the winnner was crowned. More

Australian Grandmaster Ian Rogers made his way to Fiji to participate in this annual event and with a GM in the draw, competition seemed all but one way. GM Rogers also held an simultaneous exhibitions and gave coaching clinics for elite players. More
2009 Primary and Secondary Schools Chess Championships
The 2009 Primary and Secondary Schools chess championships was held on May 2nd in Suva and saw the top brass of respective local schools compete for the coverted chess titles at stake. New champs were crowned in both events with several major upsets. More
26th Brijlal Open
The 26th Brijlal Open Chess Championships was held on Saturday 21 March 2009. Defending champion CM Calvin Prasad faced stiff competition but held out for five rounds to retain the tile in dramatic fashion. More
Chess Awards
18th Kundan Singh Open
The 2009 'Singh is King' Kundan Singh Open Championships was held on Sunday 15th February at the Fiji Olympic House in Suva. Defending champion Manoj Kumar faced an uphill battle for his crown and the winner was decided in the final round. More
Grand Prix 2009
The Grand Prix points awarded will be First (20), Second (15), Third (12), Fourth (9), Fifth (7), Sixth (5), Seventh (4), Eighth (3), Ninth (2), Tenth (1). In case of a tie in score in tournaments, the Grand Prix points will be shared.

2008 Christmas Blitz Open
