Bhavsar tops junior chess

RAVI Bhavsar of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School took out top honours in the 2009 Fiji Chess Federation National Jun-ior Championship at the Fiji Olympic House yesterday.

The seventh former finished with 4.5 points after four wins and a draw against Gaurav Raicar.

Chand favourite for chess championships

Smoking Guns wins chess championship

The Smoking Guns was crowned overall champion of the 2009 National Chess Championships at Olympic House in Suva last night.

The team which compromised of top guns Calvin Prasad, Dr. Neel Arora and Asheel Singh raked up an impressive four out of four score.
