The Fiji Chess Federation now has a new website.  This upgrade was long overdue, and was done after evaluating feedback from users and defining what we want the new website to achieve.  The following outlines our thoughts whilst working no the redesign...

This new website hope to provide:

a) Access - We hope to provide our users with a fast, intuitive and convenient medium through which to get up-to-date information on news and events concerning chess in Fiji.

b) Administration - It was noted that the previous website was cumbersome to update, hence took a lot of time and effort on the part of administrators to add content.  The new website has a much advanced Content Management System (CMS) to assist in effortless editing and administering of content.

We have added a new section for Chess Games, where we aim to upload as many games of local and oceania players as possible.

Our News section has now been expanded, comprising Media Releases, Tournament Reports & Media Coverage.  The Media Coverage category will showcase press clippings from local media outlets.

This release is currently in beta, and we are still transferring our archives from the old website. As such, we ask that you bear with us while the transfer is in process, as some parts of the website may not be available.
